Raffael Büchi is an expert in business development and marketing for law firms, including positioning and strategy, public appearance, pitching, international rankings and awards, and content marketing.
He also specializes in knowledge management and the smart and efficient use of technology in law firms and in-house legal departments.
Before founding OWLEGAL, Raffael was Head of Know-how & Business Development at the Swiss first-tier firm Bär & Karrer (2011-2017).
Driven by his passion for business development and entrepreneurial projects, Raffael co-founded Projekt Interim (projekt-interim.ch) in 2013, specializing on the temporary use of vacant real estate, as well as a LegalTech start-up in 2017.
As a lawyer, Raffael worked for Clariant (2001-2003), Bär & Karrer (2003-2006), and Novartis (2006-2008).
Raffael publishes and speaks regularly in the fields of his specialization. He is a teacher at the CAS Compliance Management of the EuropaInstitut at the University of Zurich and at the CAS Paralegal of the ZHAW (university of applied sciences). From 2014 to 2019, he chaired KM Legal, an international conference in Amsterdam (and as of 2018 in London) focusing on knowledge management for the legal sector.
