Our achievements to date thanks to your support:
15 years after its foundation, the Hassanein School still stands: it has survived economic crises, natural disasters, political unrests and wars. Today, our school is larger than ever before: It includes Kindergarten, primary and secondary school with a total of 167 pupils (roughly equal numbers of girls and boys), 14 teachers and a caretaker.
Since its foundation, more than 300 pupils have successfully graduated from the Hassanein School.
We have enabled children from particularly needy families (e.g. war refugees) to attend our school free of charge.
We have raised the salaries of teachers and other staff to compensate inflation.
We have continuously improved infrastructure and equipment: among other things, we have
equipped the school with laptops to teach pupils basic IT skills
installed solar panels to bridge power outages and mitigate the impact of high electricity prices
bought a new school bus (destroyed by a shell in October 2023)
built a new cafeteria
renovated bathrooms
acquired more watercoolers (for drinking water)
planted additional trees in the courtyard.
